Inversion Days in Jackson, Wyoming

In the middle of winter in Jackson, Wyoming, inversions will trap the colder, more humid air in the valley while the temperatures increase in the sky above. This phenomenon creates a blanket of clouds covering the valley floor which can be seen from above by getting on a ski lift, or shooting a drone up in the air. View the video below captured with the DJI Mini 2 on a couple of these inverted days during January 2024.
